    Big Block Chevy Cylinder Head!

    As the aftermarket continues to push larger displacement combinations, even 555ci big blocks are becoming common place with 600ci+ engines more plentiful than ever before. AFR is proud to announce their answer to that with these all new 385cc Magnum cylinder heads, the largest and highest flowing Big Block Chevy product in the line-up with flow numbers that are creeping up on many competitor's 18-degree Pro-Stock style cylinder heads. If you've got the displacement AFR has the cylinder head to feed it with an intake port that flirts with 440cfm at a usable lift-point, and enough complimenting exhaust flow to still maintain over 75% of that number @ .800'' lift (335cfm at .800'' lift!). While this huge of a runner is more clearly aimed at 572-632ci applications, in a light car it could still be considered in an aggresive 555-565ci build that is built to reliably turn 7800-8500 RPM's (Titanium valves recommended over 8000 RPM's). This head will be best utilized with camshafts in the .780'' to .850'' range to take full advantage of its impressive higher lift airflow, but the best thing about this head is its ability to also provide the end user with industry leading low and mid-lift flow as well (400+ CFM at .600'' lift!). This head of course comes with AFR's trademark .750'' (3/4'') thick head deck, reinforced rocker stud bosses, and is equipped with 2.350'' intake / 1.880'' exhaust valves. Take note the higher flowing exhaust ports and bolt pattern are raised .375'' (3/8'') over stock location, this rarely affects header or chassis fitment. Made in USA.

    Installation Notes: Optional stud girdle required for 2° rolled valve angles and 1'' longer head bolt needed on four bottom exhaust bolt holes. Longer pushrods may also be required.
