    What is the difference on this short block to early years of the 351 w ,the motor I want to replace is 1986 would the heads fit this engine as well as other parts off the 1986, I thought this motor was from 1969 to 1996 would be all the same.

    There are two different deck heights on the 351W the pistons made up the difference. Other parts (crank/rods/heads) remained the same.

    What is the cc of the piston? In the photo it shows flat tops with valve reliefs, but the description says dished.

    This isn't available, these piston have a D shaped valve relief and list this as the compression ratios; 58cc= 9.4:1 / 64cc= 8.7:1 / 70cc= 8.2:1

    This short block is listed as high performance. I must be missing something, cause reading the information I doused any thing high performance it looks like a standard engine with low compression pistons… I was looking for something like this but better
