Take your racing operation to the next level with these awesome Ultimate II dual channel playback tachometers from Auto Meter. These revolutionary tachs record both engine and driveshaft rpm to be replayed right on the tach after a pass, or downloaded to a laptop/PC using the included Tach-Facts software. A 4-stage shift light gives racers the advantage of selecting the anticipated rpm rise for each individual gear. A short shift protection activates the next shift point if the driver happens to come up a little short. The devices are also capable of recording 20 seconds of burnout time, which is initiated by an adjustable rpm threshold. The Ultimate II tachometers record at the high rate of 100 samples per second. For the serious racer, an appropriate sample rate increases the reliability of recorded data, and puts it to better use when comparing runs.

Details

Recording engine and driveshaft RPM enables you to analyze torque converter and clutch performance, tire slippage or shake, shift points, and more. Pause playback on the LED to directly compare engine, driveshaft, and engine-to-drive ratio. Use the Tach Facts software to further analyze this data to 1/100th of a second.

The shift lite has four shift points for optimum control. You can dial in on the anticipated RPM rise for each gear, increasing consistency and guarding against unnecessary RPM spikes.

Short shift protection means the tach knows to activate the next shift point if you short shift.

A clear 100 samples per second provide .01 second accuracy on the LED during playback.

The recording settings are Pre-Race/Burnout with Intelligence, Unlimited Pre-Race, and 20-Second Burnout and Run. Triggered by an adjustable RPM threshold, burnout recordings stop when RPM go below the threshold. Post-burnout data is automatically erased until 2 seconds before launch.

The Peak/Valley Mode freezes playback at the highest and lowest points of each gear. The time difference between the peak and valley shows whether clutch or transmission slippage is a problem.

Download data to a laptop or PC, or view each pass in real time on the tachometer.
