Use spacers between the bracket and pan if installed on a stamped steel pan
Spacers not needed for cast aluminum pans; bracket may require minor trimming for clearance
Torque bracket bolts to 12–13 ft-lbs and selector lever nut to 23 ft-lbs
Ensure selector lever moves freely through all gear positions after installation
Follow cable adjustment steps: set transmission to DRIVE, align shifter, adjust swivel into lever, and secure with cotter pin
