Low Price, High Quality, Fully Balanced, and Pressure Tested

The best value-priced converters available, B&M Tork Masters perform similarly to B&M's Holeshot Series. They are excellent, all-around performance street torque converters with a new alloy steel pump drive tube, needle thrust bearing when factory equipped, and thrust washer between turbine and cover when required. Tork Masters are not to be used in transbrake applications.

Ranges are for small block, mild performance applications:

  • Tork Master 2000 1900-2100 RPM
  • Tork Master 2400 2300-2500 RPM
  • Tork Master 3000 2800-3200 RPM

    Choosing a B&M Torque Converter
Car Weight Street rods generally perform better using a 2400 RPM converter even with a mild motor due to the vehicle's light weight. A 2000 RPM converter tends to require too much braking effort when idling but a 2400 RPM unit remains comfortable and efficient.

Stall Speed Very mild street cars use a 2000 RPM stall speed unit. Most street-driven performance cars with 350 foot pounds of torque or more need a 2400 RPM unit. Cars with more radical small blocks (500 foot pounds of torque at 4500 RPM or higher) require a 3000 RPM converter. The more torque a motor puts out, the higher the resulting stall speed. Therefore most street performance big blocks would still use a 2400 RPM converter because they generally achieve 2600-2800 RPM. An engine smaller than 350ci might not achieve such stall speeds, which are based on an engine producing 230 foot pounds of torque at 2500 RPM.

Tork Master vs. Holeshot Except for supercharged and nitrous engines, Tork Masters are a great value for most small block applications. Holeshots/Nitrous Holeshots should be used for all applications with 450 foot pounds of torque and all blown or nitrous applications. Holeshot converters are furnace-brazed with more sophisticated bearings. Thus they withstand much more torque and horsepower.
