Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the ratcheting action of this shifter. I bought this shifter about a month ago and finally got it installed. It took a little time setting it all up, but I really like the positive shift lock in each drive gear. The shifter is really stiff getting it in gear though, I would like for it to shift a little smoother. It is a nice edition to my car.

Why does this shifter not fit the 88-92 formula firebird? Factory shifters appear to be the same on all f bodies, with same transmissions.

    Asked by: Bird88
There must be a slight difference in the console for the Formula Firebird models.
