    66102 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works Truck is a 2002 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 SUPERCHARGED (ProCharger) with water/methanol injection running about 8psi boost using 96-100 octane fuel. My truck is not meant to be “Go Fast” but it can, it was built to tow a large (10,000 lbs) horse trailer over the Rockies. I live in Columbus, Ohio, home of Jegs, so finding a test road to do a real test is difficult, Ohio is mostly flat in Columbus and north but I took my trailer up a 6 mile 2-3% grade in 95-97* heat. I ran 45mph with the ac on trying to maintain 45mph on the varying grades. With my old OEM replacement it would have gone to 220-235* on the climb even with the fan clutch pulling hard. The new BeCool Radiator held the temp at 195-204*! We are enjoying a heat wave now the truck stays at 190* most of the time and on the freeway it goes down to 185* at 70mph, all with the ac on. My truck can idle for extended times without even getting warm. It sat at a big box store for 10 mins ac on outside air temp was 92* and the ScanGauge2 said the water temp was 180-187*. The radiator has only been on for a week so I don’t have any winter experience yet. The radiator is not a simple bolt in! It required a few mods to the engine bay. I had a very experienced mechanic install the radiator, he is also the engine builder so he is very experienced with my truck. He was a little put out at the amount of modification needed to install the radiator, he was expecting a drop in but it was a little more work than expected. Mind you, he built the truck so he is very particular how things fit together so it took him extra time. On a side note my truck has been stinking of hot antifreeze for 3 years and using antifreeze very slowly. With the new BeCool the smell is gone. As a thank you to Jegs, I would like to thank The Jegs Foundation for their support of The Ohio State University James Cancer Center. I would never have known of Jegs support of OSU Medical Center and the James had my mother not needed treatment at The James, Jegs does not advertise or capitalize on their support for the James. My mother is now 4 months cancer free. From now on if I need a part and Jegs has it I will be buying the part from Jegs. If any of you should ever find yourself or a loved one facing cancer please come to Columbus, OSU James Cancer Center is the best. Disclosure, I am a graduate of The Ohio State University. None the less, Jegs supports the best Cancer Center there is. Go Bucks!
