Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased. After much research by way of reviews and blogs we decided to go with this setup in replacing my son's SBC in his '87 V10 pickup. The engine came with a dyno sheet and it actually had some gas in the carb so it had indeed been run and tested prior to shipment. We had a scare after install because I'd used some aftermarket torque converter bolts that were too long. Because of that it would make a knocking sound on startup and then subside. I really thought we had a main bearing problem and contacted Blueprint immediately. They got right back to me and had me check the filter and oil and when that was ok they started to talk me through the process and next steps. In the meantime I figured out the problem. Point being that even though everything was fine in the end, they were quick to assist. Currently the motor is running great. I'd heard a few horror stories about buying rebuilt motors but my experience could not have been better.

So if the engine I have in my 73 chevy is a 2 piece rear main seal. And this new engine right here is a one piece main seal. Do I need to do anything different or should it just bolt in without any problems?

    Asked by: Pan man
You will for sure need to replace your flywheel/flexplate. For this engine you are required to use one that is externally weighted for a one piece rear main seal Chevy 350.

Will this engine fit a 1990 GMC Sierra 1500 and if so what upgrades or other purchases would you recommend for a reliable build. Thank you

    Asked by: Corcesc4
This engine would physically fit into your vehicle, but the way that we have this designed right now we only recommend that it be ran naturally aspirated with a carburetor. This engine would not work with your factory fuel injection or computer system.

    Will this fit in a 73 c10

    Asked by: Pan man
This will fit the truck, but this is a 1 piece rear main seal engine so you will have to change the transmission or adapt it to this.

Will this match up in a 1961 corvette replacing stock 283? 4 speed transmission.

    Asked by: Bob288
This will bolt in to your Corvette, but you will need to reuse your flywheel and this will probably not clear the factory hood.
