1- Can the proper 50 oz harmonic balancer be purchased from Jegs and installed prior to shipping? 2- Will the OE distributor from the 289 I am replacing work in this engine? If so I will replace the old gear with the recommended iron gear.

    Asked by: JimA
We cannot install the balancer prior to shipping. The distributor will work the same in this as your 289
