Will my Edelbrock AIR-GAP intake manifold and 600 cfm edelbrock carburetor fit this engine?

If your intake is for the older (86 and earlier) cylinder heads, your parts will work great with this engine.

I have a 99 tahoe with the vortec 5.7. Will this work with the factory fuel injection or will I have to modify and swap some things over

    Asked by: Jboogiefromthablock
I would actually not recommend this engine for your Tahoe. I would recommend our part number BP38303CT, this engine is designed for the 96-00 TPI injection applications.

I have an 85 El Camino conquista with a 305 I'll be swapping out. I can cannibalize the flywheel and edelbrach intake for this motor correct? This motor should drop right in once complete correct?

    Asked by: Mg1180
Yes it would drop right in. You could use the intake but this engine uses Weighted Flexplate/Flywheel. Your engine would use a Non Weighted Flexplate/Flywheel.

Was a stock intake used to get the 310 hp obtained in the description above? If not what intake set up was used?

    Asked by: Mg1180
An Edelbrock or similar intake will be necessary for the 310hp rating.
