    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Classic look but not Electronic Ignition friendly The warnings are in the instructions, if you look hard enough, that this tach won't work on many electronic ignition set-ups. Mine was just a simple unit that replaced the points under my dizzy cap. The tach just couldn't handle it and was erratic and incorrect. A call to Bosch Technical got me the advice that the unit needs a 5 volt square wave. Wow. but the tech had no idea how to achieve it. Too late to return this for me, so it ended up on the shelf.

    Will this work on older plymouth 1974 with stock ignition?

    Does the tech spin on the mounting bracket?

    Hello, The tachometer is mounted to the bracket in the middle by a single large thumb screw. It can be rotated on the bracket as needed to accommodate various positions and angles.
