Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Radiator, Poor Fit Radiator looks great and works great, it just doesn't fit. All of the mounting holes have to be redrilled lower to get the radiator in the car, a 1951 Chevy 235 original 6 cylinder. Radiator inlet and outlet are sized for a v8 and do not fit the 6. A trip to the local auto parts store is required to look thru their inventory to find something that will fit. Champion should look at a original car and change the bolt holes to make the radiator fit correctly. Part numbers for radiator hoses that will connect the new radiator to the existing engine would help greatly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from poor fit for 1950 Chevrolet Styline Deluxe 2 door Before purchasing, I reviewed with tech person that this would "bolt in" to my 1950 Chev Styline deluxe. Upon receipt discovered that I would need to chop out the lower portion of the "horseshoe" radiator mount frame in order to make it fit. Also, the flanges were tweaked less than 90 degrees, causing the radiator body to touch the sides of the "horseshoe". When I contacted Jegs, they patched me to the Tech guy at champion radiators who said that "on occasion, we see one that just doesn't fit the application, usually convertibles". Mine is not a convertible, but this guy said that I could dry fit it, mark it up with a sharpie however I wanted, ship it to him, and he would personally oversee that it was corrected to my specs. Unfortunately I was hoping to make a car cruise date, so I had to opt for the chop job. Then when I went to install my new upper and lower hoses, I discovered to my dismay that the inlet and outlet sizes were different. I should have actually read the spec sizes listed as that would have tipped me off. I was able to match up hoses by trial and error at the auto parts shop. That being said, once I custom fit it into my car, the product is super nice! I have to give Jegs and Champion high marks in customer service too, but you may need to overcome obstacles to installation. I don't usually write reviews, but felt compelled to do so given my experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 1953 chev bel air radiator Excellent quality just doesn’t fit. Will not fit in Orem cradle none of the mounting holes lined up all had to be redrilled neither the inlet or return radiator openings were correct size. But is a solid radiator just not for a 1953 chev bel air as it said it was

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I recently purchased this part for a 1951 Styleline deluxe and wasn’t satisfied with the product because the fitment was off. The bottom width of the radiator is bulky and didn’t properly fit it in it’s sitting position. Even after considering to drill new holes the fan would easily shred the transmission line and now I’m forced to return it.
