    19301358 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Replacement! I purchased this motor to increase the weight to power ratio of my Ultra 4 car #553. I was not disappointed! The rebate deal from GM along with free shipping from Jegs made it an easy decision. I ordered on a Tuesday, and the motor was delivered into my shop on Thursday of the same week!!

The oil pan will not fit your application and you will need to do modification and fabrication to make this work.

What would be required to use this in an 05 avalanche with gen 4 ls 5.3 with 4l60e trans . Mods to current Controler  or wiring harness, reprogramming of current controller or replacement. Drive by wire pedal is currently used stock please help

    Asked by: Mauiboi1964
You will need to integrate the controller that is listed on the page with your trucks wiring harness, it will be a custom application for which we do not have any information.

What else would be needed to install this in a 2006 Pontiac GTO? (Original engine is LS2)

    Asked by: Goat hearder
There's a few differences. Things that you'll need are a ls2/ls3 maf adapter, 3 bolt conversion on the LS3 cam, the engine ECU will need reprogrammed for the new engine and it's 58x reluctor wheel as opposed to your 24x. You'l need the GTO oil pan and pickup to clear the subframe.

Will this engine work in my 08 Silverado? It is currently equipped with a 6.0 LS, with the VortecMax package and is 4wd. Will my computer work? What about the stock trans?

    Asked by: EVIL 1
The transmission will still bolt up but this is a much different LS based engine than the one in your truck.

What else would I need to get this to work in my 2007 C6 corvette with a stock auto trans? And will this engine pass California smog?

    Asked by: Mikeman
As long as your Corvette was an LS3 engine this will be a good choice. You will need to use all of the original accessories and wiring harness. This engine is not rated to pass California emissions.

What would be required to install on a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT?

    Asked by: C753
If your G8 has the LS3 engine in it now then you would only need to swap your current engine accessories over to this engine.

I want to put a ls3 in my 06 gmc truck that has a 4.3 v6.  Is that possible and will my tranny handle the power

    Asked by: cr500kx125
This will require a lot of upgrades and depending on the transmission that you are using it may not handle this much power. You will also need the full ECM and wiring to make this work.
