Since my engine (Stock 5.7l Vortec from 97 Chevy 1500) has the fuel injected type system, will this Carb kit/ Distributor plug into and function w/ factory engine harness? Does it match w/ the 4l60 Auto transmission (cause it also plugs into ECM)?

    Asked by: Stealhorse Pirate
We would recommend you use the EFI throttle bod and ignition system that is on your current engine. The distributor is not made to work with your current ECU.

This kit has carburetor in it but isn't the cam design for fuel injection? Or is there a different cam in this engine for carburetor. I like to put this engine in a 72 GMC four-wheel-drive pickup.

    Asked by: Ric1953
That engine will work just fine in a carb application, then it will drop right into that truck.
