I’m having trouble decoding the VIN.  Mine is 1GCEK19Y78Z194869.  Is this the right engine?  I live in St. Thomas, USVI and would have this shipped to St. Thomas Cargo in Miami.

    Asked by: Jgbowers1
The eighth digit in the VIN code is the engine option. For this VIN this is a "Y" engine code so this is not a bolt in installation.

Will this engine fit 2006 trailblazer ss

    Asked by: Stanley2006
Your trailblazer should have a 5.3L engine so this would not be an exact swap. You will need to make modifications to use this engine.
