The Chevrolet Performance 350ci HO Base Engine doesn't sacrifice power or durability with its four-bolt main block, nodular iron crankshaft, Powdered Metal steel connecting rods and cast aluminum pistons. Chevrolet engineers add to this strong foundation a pair of cast iron Vortec 64cc cylinder heads with 1.94'' intake and 1.50'' exhaust valves, yielding a healthy but streetable 9.0:1 compression ratio. The camshaft is a modern dual pattern interpretation of the 1965-67 Corvette 327 camshaft with more exhaust lift and duration for improved combustion chamber clearance and less intake lift/duration for more cylinder pressure!

I have a Edelbrock 2701 intake, and Hedman Headers on my 283 motor. Will the intake and headers swap onto this 350 HO motor?

    Asked by: jmarauder
Unfortunately, neither one of those will work because this engine utilizes Vortec heads.

When does the warranty start, if the engine will sit for a couple years before its ever started?

    Asked by: Camarocop
I would purchase the motor when the chassis is as complete as possible. The warranty period starts on the invoice date, which GM will need for any potential work.
