Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice piece. I bought this to replace the LS1 in a 2002 Camaro Z28. What an upgrade!! Absolutely love it. Would do it again. Had to use LS1 water pump and pulley. Used a mechanical cable operated 95MM throttle body. Oh and had to use the LS1 oil pan and pick up tube.

Have an 01 Z06 with dead LS6. Direct drop in or will it need additional parts?

    Asked by: 01 Drue
This is not for factory LS vehicles as it is not compatible with factory electronics.

Would this fit into a '94 V6 Camaro w/ 5-speed man. I've read lots of stories on how difficult it is to swap any V8 into this V6 Camaro. Cost is not a factor as I'm willing to spend what it takes to do this right. Also, the Camaro is pristine condition.

    Asked by: Grett
This will physically fit, but it will take a lot of fabrications and modifications to make this work properly. This is a difficult engine swap.

I am looking to replace the LS2 in my 2006 GTO (auto) would this be a good fit? What would I need to purchase other than this engine to get down the road thanks.

    Asked by: Zoltar
There's a few differences. Things that you'll need are a ls2/ls3 maf adapter, 3 bolt conversion on the LS3 cam, the engine ECU will need reprogrammed for the new engine and it's 58x reluctor wheel as opposed to your 24x. You'l need the GTO oil pan and pickup to clear the subframe.

what would be required to install in 97 vette w auto trans

    Asked by: drocker
You would need to finish off the exhaust system, the Racetronix harness extension for the cam sensor and knock sensors, removing the intake cover for cowl clearance. You will now have to run the fuel injection on a separate computer than factory one with the GMPP LS3 engine controller #19354332.

I had a valve spring break on my 2010 Camaro SS. Not sure what the extent of the damage is yet. My question is, if I replace my engine this one, will my ECU work with this engine other than maybe a re-tune ?

    Asked by: Greywolf1303
This engine Will work in your application with a retune will be a good choice.

What would I need to make this work in a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT

    Asked by: K Day
It would drop in and should hook up with you factory wiring harness. But you will need a tuner to dyno tune your ecu.
