K11-213-3 - Comp Cams 'Magnum' Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice Used this in a 74 454 with stock compression and stock 781 heads. Used Roades style bleed off lifters to help idle. 3000 stall, 4.56 rear gears, Strip Dominator intake with 2 inch spacer and K&N Stub Stack on 780 Holley, 1 3/4 primary headers, 3" exhaust. MSD 6AL box on MSD Dist. Cloyes double row timing set installed straight up. Great power starting inside of the convertor stall speed, ran to 6500 RPM. No dead or flat spots of acceleration when stuck down with slicks in a heavy vehicle. I want to raise compression to 9 to 1 and get bigger valves in the heads and try it again.

Will this fit a 90's L29 454? If so is there any specific machining I have to do?

Asked by: Evan1324
The L29 is a Vortec factory roller cam block. The comp cams kit will not work without extensive modifications.
