These formed rear rails replace stock rear rails in subframe-equipped cars. Stamped from sheetmetal, stock rear rails were never intended to handle more than stock horsepower levels. When higher power is achieved, stock rear frames bend and twist under the strain, absorbing power that could be used to make the car accelerate quicker.
