KU71104BK - Daystar Polyflex Hood Pin Kits is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Nice product but after spending extra money to buy a USA item it was a big let down that they came with only one nut each for the pin and were an odd size. Fixed it with a trip to the hardware store but I expected a little better quality control

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great concept Bought these for an aftermarket fiberglass hood after a recommendation from someone else with a similar setup. In an ideal scenario these would have been perfect. However Daystar provides no instructions whatsoever. No biggie right? After all your not joe weekend garage guy if you need and are going install these yourself. However I chose the mounting location based upon where I wanted/needed the pins themselves and how my Mustang is setup. So I grabbed my hole saw and went to town. This is where I got disappointed, because obviously no two vehicles are a like and not are the hoods. I chose a spot far to the sides thankfully, however the hood was still thick enough where these daystar pieces needed to be deeper in design. I may write to them yet to see what my options are. Furthermore there is still a contour to my hood as it is a ram air hood, but I would think almost all would have some form of curvature unless your running a 440 six pack challenger... The polyurethane does not work well with contours. There are a couple bumps in them now, kinda of disappointing on a show car. Lastly the 1" bolts and lock nuts they provide are equally useless because my hood is well over that thickness wise, as I would imagine all hoods are. Long story short, make sure you going into these with low expectations or a back up plan if you are looking for show quality fit and finish.
