    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spend the extra $$ for a better one. Not JEGS fault! I chose this filter mount because it was AMERICAN made and a good price, First one threads bad where nipple for filter screws in which means if even a small fragment of the bad threads peels off or comes loose it goes directly to your engine oil passages and crank probably! Sent back....Second one worse threads than first! Contacted DERALE they said they would send me one.... Waited over a week then called again said they would send me one, also talked about problem and was told it was normal, ARE YOU KIDDING ME was my reaction this is not normal it is a serious improper casting procedure to have porosity this severe in a product of this importance! Anyway once again I gave them my information and they said they will get one sent out. Well over a week later I finally got one that the air pockets ARE NOT AS BAD and I guess i will use this on the v twin as i was planning but this whole ordeal took over a month and a half. DERALE said the mount I wanted is not a big seller and that it is sold to CUMMINS, and the air pockets are because they take a 1/4'' top port one and drill and tap the center for 3/4-16 filter nipple. Well I don't think that's a good excuse for what that was supposed to explain. So I will never buy anything from DERALE again which is too bad because I like to support AMERICAN companies, If it would have been handled differently and more timely I might not feel this way. Spend more to get a better part because your engine is worth it, Inspect your parts carefully because there is a real problem with quality control these days because of the "Quantity not quality" manufacturing. Would you put this on your engine???
