Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bolt holes not tapped Nice part, but the instructions require you to tap 2 holes on the part before you can use it. I would think that for the price it would come ready to install.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Second Gen Camaro DETROIT SPEED PART# 070430DS Purchased this because the rep @ Detroit Speed this would take care of my Hydraulic Master Cylinder issue and would bolt right up. Well once it came in and the DIRECTIONS are NOW in play. There is much fabrication to do. The unit does bolt up to the master cylinder bolts and the the hole for the brake booster lines up pretty solid HOWEVER, the intended issue for resolution is NOWHERE, where it needs to be to get this to be a solid resolution to my problem. I called Detroit Speed with my concern and directed me to send am email for support with a detailed explanation and pictures showing the issue. I sent off the email, got a reasonable response via call in a timely fashion. The tech basically said "PER INSTRUCTIONS". there is fabrication that needs to be done! The hole placement needs to be fabricated, and new piece of metal needs to be fabricated and welded to close off holes for dirt and debris then it needs to be trimmed. FOLKS DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS BRACKET! For the $35.00 it costs for the unfinished piece of steel, the shipping costs of 23.00 not total cost of 58.00! NOT counting getting a welder (if you do not weld or have a cutter for the steel holes you have to make) you are better off getting a complete setup with a mount and just spend your money welding that bracket into place of where original hole was for the OG shift linkage. There would be no need for this bracket. Total thumbs down! The tech mentioned that there are many different holes for a Gen 2 camaro. FACT of the matter (there isn't) DS needs to go back to the R&D and re-do their thinking on this and offer a OG 4 speed setup with the proper hole placement. That will cover ALL second Gen Camaros, Firebirds, Trans ams.
