444444 - Davis Unified Ignition D.U.I. Nylon Rotor Hold-Down Screws is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from These do exactly what they are supposed to do I purchased these as a preventative measure in a maximum effort HEI system. Pushing more than 50k volts with an MSD, made me consider spark scatter and arcing as potential issues. Shearing these nylon fasteners, wrapping the engine up, was also a concern to me. The positioning notch in the rotor effectively eliminates this, however. Not a real hassle to install, anyway. But, I already had my distributor torn down for removal of the Ignition module, for the MSD. Ignition is operating at 100%. Although I haven't pushed much past 5500 rpm, I'm thinking that valve float will become a problem long before the limit of my ignition system does. Consider these fasteners as "contingency insurance" item, and they are a good $15 spent.
