742-251 - Dorman Window Lift Motors is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strong motor, weak mounts This fits either passenger or tailgate windows of a 1981 Bronco. I used a nut driver (not a wrench) to tighten the mounting bolts and stripped one of the plastic holes. The factory bolts are #12 x 24 threads by 1/2" long so I replaced the bolts with 3/4" bolts and the plastic holes held after tightening. I also drilled the mount frame in the door so I could use the 3rd bolt. These are designed to only use 2 of the 3 bolts in older applications. They need longer bolts so as not to strip out the plastic in the motor but the motor pulls strong so I'll give it 3 stars. If not for the plastic mounting threads, it would rate 5 stars.

Does this fits driver an passenger side?

    Asked by: Larro
This can fit either side, however, it depends on the application as to the position it fits.
