Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Product, low standards Where do I even begin with this great cast iron paperweight. My friend told me if it's on Jegs you can trust it! I love Jegs, they truly are a great company to deal with, however, any deals with Dorman wrecks their good name. I received the package, worked all day cutting trees, and eventually opened up the box to see a missing heat shield. Not a big deal, who needs that, it'll most likely fall off in a few years anyway. I turn it over and look at the lip between the exhaust ports and the mating surface to the block, all I see is a craggly ugly disgusting unfinished piece that would have taken a solid five minutes to clean up with a Dremel/drill. I take this wonderful piece, already feeling sick, and start bolting it up to my 86' GMC C3500 only to find a bolt hole won't line up. Thats kind of weird so I try jiggling it around and see the bolt hole is a good 1/2" off if not more. Finally I take it off and get the old trusty tape measure to see that the old manifold is 17 1/2" (ROUGHLY, Don't shoot me over this), the new one is 18". I try my 78 Chevy K20 350 Manifold, 17 1/2". I even go as far as to try doing a quick measurement on my 1998 GMC K2500 350 Vortec. Same case, 17 1/2" roughly. I get so sick, I don't even bother to open up the second box, I don't want to know what horrid creature is in there. Maybe it would have fit, but the quality was so poor, I think my old one would last longer. How would you rate the ease of installation? Hard to install when you can't get the last bolt in!
