Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked exactly as I expected and needed it to. I had a problem with a fuel line leak after I installed EFI on a 1970 Dodge Challenger. This fitting connected to the original fuel line providing a leak free connection to the EFI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install and great performance! These look great, perform perfectly and are easy to install--unless you make it complicated. There is no information on Earl's website showing how to install these. I guess it's assumed that everybody knows how to install compression fittings. But do an on-line search and you'll find lots of questions and few correct answers. Bottom line, don't flare the tube! Simply slide the nut and ferrule over the line, put the fitting over the end of the line, finger tighten the nut, then tighten it about one full turn with a wrench. The ferrule is pushed into the fitting compressing the line and creating a tight, leak-proof seal. These fittings are a great way to terminate hard lines with -AN fittings.

I am going from 5/16 hard line to -8 an fitting anyone have the part number i need?

    Asked by: Anthony_turbo_ej1
All of the fittings we have go from 5/16" line to a -6an, you will either need to adapt the -6 to -8 or change to a 3/8" line size.

Will this also work with 8 mm steel line? 8 mm being .00246 larger in diameter than 5/16".

    Asked by: ShakyD
No, these fitting are for use with aluminum line. you would need to use Earl's Hard-Line AN Tube Sleeves & Nuts setup such as part number 361-561806.
