    Manufacturer's Part Number:

Underhood Paints are an ideal solution to adding the final touches to an engine compartment. Underhood Black is the correct shade with just the right 10% to 20% semi-gloss finish most car manufacturers use on inner fender walls, radiator supports, lug wrenches, underhood brackets, jack bases, and other parts. For exhaust manifolds or headers, use Factory Hi-Temp Coating that's rated up to 1200°.

10396Z - Eastwood Underhood Paints is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use, holds up well. I used this to freshen up the finish on my Hooker headers alrerady installed and 4 years after restoration. I used a foam brush and the product applied evenly and well directly from the can. The only problem was when I went to use 1 year after initial use, the paint was no longer mixed and coagulated. Storage in a normal Florida garage did not keep the paint in good condition, FYI. I will buy again but store differently.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not "hold up" - high heat I coated my headers for my 77 olds cutlass salon. I am a painter. So I followed the directions on the spray can but also used my experience. I sprayed thin coats with plenty of time in between for flashing. After completely finishing the one can of paint on the two headers, I let them dry for 3 days before I installed them on my Cutlass. As soon as I fired up the engine the paint started to bubble. After about a good hour drive, i came home to find the paint flaking off in big chunks. Money just went down the drain. Plus i could have had my car going a lot earlier if I had not been waiting on the paint I ordered and for it to dry for three days. i waited three days because i wanted to be sure the paint was fully cured. All to no avail, very dissapointing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No success with this one :-( I love Eastwood's products, but this one was a bust for me. Applied to the exact directions on the can, fired up my 70 Chevelle, let it run for 20 minutes and saw the paint bubbling up on the headers. Thought this might be part of the 'curing' process. The next day I came out to fire it up again and the paint was peeling off the headers in big pieces. Disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hi-Temp Exhaust Paint The paint covers week and evenly, EXCEPT the spray occasionally spurts out in blobs and leaves globs of paint on the painted surface. It wasn't a huge problem, but a bit annoying. Maybe a better nozzle would help. Otherwise, I am satisfied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coating Failed at 500 Degrees Took brand new stainless steel headers and sanded them/degreased them with acetone. Sprayed the exterior with High Temp silver and interior with High Temp Internal Coating. Cured at 250 degrees for 20 minutes just fine. Cured at 500 degrees and both coatings failed and bubbled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and Easy I bought this so I would have the ease of spraying onto my jeeps manafold without removing them from the block! Turned out awesome and this stuff rocks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nozzle I like the product fine but I have had the spray nozzles mess up on me on two different types of paint. This paint is to expensive for this to happen.
