    Manufacturer's Part Number:

Banish road noise, floor pan vibration and exhaust heat from your ride! Eastwood's Thermo-Coustic Barrier conforms easily to interior and door panels (a hi-tack adhesive lets you install them securely -- even up underneath a trunk lid). The sound deadening sheets are designed with a .060" thick layer of butyl rubber material, bonded to a high-performance aluminum facing, for an overall thickness of 0.063". Along with a significant reduction in road noise and driveline vibration, the sheets help keep heat from penetrating your vehicle's interior. In testing, they found that performance is equivalent to that of the expensive major brand. Kit includes 36 square feet -- enough material to insulate the most critical portions of your car's interior and door panels. For more complete coverage, order two kits (particularly if you have removed the factory sound deadening during restoration).

12117 - Eastwood Thermo-Coustic Sound Deadener Material is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 20.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not use this stuff!!!!! I bought this stuff to use on my 40 ford interior. I put it inside of one door and it melted all over the place. That was 2 years ago and I am still cleaning up black stuff that is dripping down the inside of my door. I am glad I never got around to do anything else with it. I had bought 3 boxes of it and now would not even think about using it anyway on any of my cars. I contacted Eastwood about this problem and what they did was send me some tape to cover the joints.........what a joke that was. I am not sure I will ever get all the black mess off of my door. It drips down the inside of door and finds holes to drip out of onto the running board. I do not know why they would keep selling a product that has so many bad reviews!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No issues and worked as described I am fine with giving a critical review when merited but I have had no issues with this product. I used it in my truck last year and was so happy with it that I now just used it in my convertible. I installed it in a 90 degree day and although the product was extra tacky, it layed down and contoured to the floor pans and firewall with no issues. It is easy to cut (you are guaranteed to get a few cuts on fingers) and easy to place l over a clean surface.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy, melted?! I bought a box a few years ago and never installed it, a few months ago I bought a second box and was getting ready to cover the underdash, floorpan, and side panels in in, but when I opened the first box, I found that all the black had oozed out and filled the sides of the box. Now I am reluctant to install any of it. This had been sitting in my garage for a while. I did put a couple of sheet on the inside door skins a few years ago, I probably need to look in my doors and check to see how it looks. I also put a small amount of it under the dash to kill a rattle, now i just noticed there were two small black drips on my red carpet, after takling a close look at it, it appears to be this black sticky stuff, obviously it dripped down to my carpet. I have not trouble with all the other eastwood products in the past, so this casts a serious question of the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eastwood comes through...Wow! Bought some of this a couple of years ago and had some issues with it. Eastwood contacted me and it appears to have been a bad batch. They stood up and made it right and that is why I have spent thousands with Eastwood and will continue to do so. Make sure you use a good roller (available on here) to apply it and get all the air out from underneath all of it. Sound deadening is very good with this. Thanks Eastwood!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeping things in perspective I just finished an install of the Thermal Acoustic sound deadener and the " barrier. All though I mixed them because I didn't realize they were different. Easy to install, took the resonance right out of the panels. I didn't get carried away, just the floor and inside of doors, then the back wall and package tray. Oh, yeah, firewall is a must. Three big noise factors Road noise, wind noise, engine noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good stuff I bought a box about 7 months ago and seat in the sun in my garage until two weeks ago. I installed the first box then bought two more, installed from under the dash all the way back to the package tray. Easy to cut with scissors and form to all the contours of the car. Not sure about the dripping other talk about, my box was faded from sitting in the sun for months and was fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This stuff DRIPS don't use it Installed this in my Tan 1954 Tin Woodie and noticed a drip of black stuff coming out of my doors at the drip hole. I went to see the reviews on this stuff to see if anyone else was having problems and WOW! looks pretty bad for some of you out there. Wonder what Eastwoods doing about this as I have a box of this I was going to use on my new project.
