Eastwood 12269Z - Eastwood ZDDP Oil Additive
Eastwood ZDDP Oil Additive
Eastwood ZDDP Oil Additive has been designed to remove ZDDP(Zinc Dialkyl Dithio Phosphate) from all conventional and synthetic motor oils. If your engine was manufactured before 1989 the non-roller lifters require ZDDP to avoid premature deterioration. Eastwood ZDDP Oil Additive also alters bearing and journal surface characteristics to prevent metal to metal contact. Under extreme conditions like a high performance motor, ZDDP reduces the tendency of parts to scuff or gall under heavy loads. Eastwood ZDDP Oil Additive should be added to every 4-6 quart oil change. Which in return will give the added protection your motor needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sped Racer from Necessary! It's great to find a company that sells this. ZDDP is very necessary for us that use non detergent motor oil to prevent unnecessary wear. Kinda pricey though, but that's on the manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ryder5300 from Great find - Great value With the lack of zinc in current mineral based oils, I was hunting for something to compensate the absence for my 1987 Toyota FJ60 straight six. With only 140K miles on her, I wanted the tappets and valve train to be happy for miles to come. One bottle of this for each oil change is solid and inexpensive insurance to say the least. Fulfillment and shipping were quick as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Richards Fords from GREAT FOR OLDER ENGINES This is my second time purchasing the ZDDP additive. Bought it in the past for my 1970 Mach 1, 351W and now I have added a 1965 F-100, 352 to my toy list. I use the ZDDP in both and couldn't be more pleased with the product! A must for the older flat tapet engines!! I wouldn't change the oil without it

Rated 5 out of 5 by Buick38 from Just what i needed for my car. When looking through my 36-38 Buick club magazine i came across an article on motor oils. The article listed three(3) oil brands with ZDDP none of which is available in my area. Oils with ZDDP is recommended for low compression engines like in my 1938 Buick Century. (found Eastwood ZDDP on the inter net)
