The safer, acid free rust remover. Eastwood Rust Dissolver will penetrate deep into metal and remove rust within just a few hours. Leaves metal clean and ready to paint, plate or powder coat. Rust Dissolver is suitable for engine parts and will not harm copper, aluminum, brass, lead, solder, plastic, rubber, seals, wood or vinyl. Derust small parts in a plastic container and larger parts can be placed in the discharge stream of a commonly available small pump.

16037 - Eastwood Rust Dissolver is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a gel, and would not answer questions about it I bought a gallon of this, to use on my 67 pickup restoration. Since I had to do some vertical areas, thought the gel would be a good idea. This stuff is NOT a gel. It ran right off, and I had to keep applying it, over and over. Called the tech line about it, but, kind of got a run-around, and never got my questions answered. Won't be buying it again. BTW, this is the first Eastwood product that I haven't been happy with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it really works I used 1 bottle to clean up a box of studs, nuts and hold downs for my Bpt Miller. Hurricane Sandy took its toll. I finally got to cleaning these up and was ready to throw them out after spending hours at the wire wheel.I soaked them in this solution for 5 hours or so and they came out like brand new . I hit them with some wd-40 and I just saved a bunch of money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be patient I wanted to stop the rust inside the cab mounts on my old Ford pick-up. I purchased a tile cutter replacement pump from a large hardware store to keep the rust dissolver flowing over the rusted area, with the dissolver in a plastic oil pan. This is a very hard area to get at. It's been a few days since I started but I am getting down to bear metal. This works,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from extracted rust from between panels I purchased this to use on my '07 F150 where the previous owner had let the rust start under the bed liner, I let it stream the length of the bed along the seam on each side, waited 30 minutes and wiped away the rust. I then coated it with the "encapsulator". Don't know if there's anything better out there but this did all I wanted. We'll see how it holds up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Patience and water! Worked really well when the parts were completely immersed in water overnight. Had to repeat process twice, but it removed old rust (from a railroad lantern) and left the bare surface. Just liberally brush on, soak it, and rinse it the next day. It works on all kinds of stuff! Great product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from rust magnet I used this on bare metal expecting a result like the phosphoric acid metal preps Ive used before. No way! After rinsing and drying the panel it became a rust magnet. Not what I had in mind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good not Great I used it on some bumper braces that had been wire brushed off. Old heavy iron only cleaned a little bit........ On sheet metal worked great.
