Eastwood 51655Z - Eastwood Seam Sealer
Eastwood Seam Sealer
After stripping a car or repairing a panel, seam sealer should be replaced to preserve your work and guard against the elements. Eastwood Seam Sealer (black or beige) leaves a factory-like finish and does not crack, harden, or sag. Seals cracks and crevices, waterproofs, and insulates. Sealer tack dries in 15 minutes (can be painted after an hour), adheres to paint, and remains flexible. Paintable in 30 minutes, Brush-On Sealer dries gray. Use on firewalls, trunk seams, fender extensions, taillight openings, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 67DeVille from Seam Sealer for that OEM look. I have used several tubes of this sealer so far, matching the OEM sealer applications. I ground out the original hard and dry sealers all over our project 67 Caddy. Pumped in beads (no more then 12" at a time) and fingered them down to match the original where applicable. Removed the original material between the inner and hood stiffeners and the skin and pumped it in the center holes just like the factory and it went in and came out the surrounding four holes just like the OEM process. The hood is now firm and quite, no tinny sounds when you tap on it and no swelling or bulges. Works perfectly, looks correct, sticks well and has the right firmness vs flex. Excellent product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by hassyfoto from Disappointed in Seam Sealer Unlike 3M seam sealer, this product went on very stringy and did not flow into/onto the seams. Used a small brush to help level the material and had hoped the seam sealer would level out smoothly and it did not. Will not use this product again. Although the 3M seld-leveling seam sealer is more expensive it would be well worth the extra money to invest a better product for better results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Project Man from Eastwood Seam Sealer I have used this product from Eastwood several times and it is a high quality product. It is exactly like the material used in the assembly of vehicles in the United States. I not only use it during vehicle restorations but also for other projects where a professional bond is needed, especially where moisture is a concern.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BeetleBuilderBill from Good Stuff.... I have used Eastwood's Seam Sealer many times. Recently I ran out and bought another brand at a local auto supply store....big mistake! Eastwood's seam sealer is still messy to apply, but it is a much better product as it never cracks and takes paint better. It is long lasting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by skoolbiz2 from Good for small gaps under 1/16 inch Does not work very well for gaps larger than 1/16 inch. On large gaps the sealer stays mushy. On gaps smaller than 1/16 inch, works pretty well.
