500 CFM is the small end of the AVS2 range, and it exists because a modest six or small V8 is easily over-carbureted. Too much carburetor on a small engine gives poor signal at the boosters, which shows up as a soggy off-idle response. Annular boosters help further at low airflow, atomizing fuel more finely than a down-leg design.

• 500 CFM rating, four barrel, non-EGR.
• Manual choke, satin aluminum finish.
• 1.44 in. primary bores and 1.6875 in. secondary bores.
• Annular boosters, 3.25 in. body height.
• Applications span 1952-1986, so match CFM to your engine rather than to fitment alone.
