The Elite II look is the two-tone treatment: machined and polished surfaces against gloss black, so the fins read as a deliberate design rather than a plain casting. Underneath the styling these are proper baffled aluminum covers in the short profile, which is what a stock-height big-block valvetrain wants. The polished faces do ask for occasional attention if the car sees weather.
