BB-Chevy Performer High-Compression Aluminum Cylinder Heads
Tech Tip: To gain more spark plug clearance, Edelbrock recommends using Champion RC Series plugs such as the RC12YC (P/N 192-49776). They are 0.230'' shorter than a conventional spark plug and have a 5/8'' hex for easier access.
Designed for 1987-95 TBI-equipped big-blocks, these new 50-state emissions legal (E.O. #D-215-33) heads have a 100cc combustion chamber for an increase of over one full point of compression to 8.8:1 on 7.4L TBI engines. The result is a dramatic performance improvement in these late-model vehicles. These heads and our Multi-Point EFI on a 7.4L engine made 353 hp and 457 ft/lbs. of torque on the dyno. Available assembled with top-quality components that include 1-piece, stainless steel, 2.19'' intake and 1.88'' exhaust valves, ARP 7/16'' diameter rocker studs and ductile iron seats with a three-angle valve job. Features include stock port locations and 9/16'' thick decks for superior gasket retention. Mark IV rocker arms and valve train parts are required.

These oval port heads will support over 540 hp with 9.5:1 compression with the right combination! Unique oval intake port shape produces flow similar to rectangular ports, but the smaller port size provides excellent seat-of-the-pant performance and crisp throttle response. Semi-open chamber design maximizes efficiency with streetable compression ratios. The smaller-than-stock 11/32'' valve stems provide excellent flow and lighter valve weight.
These heads have a 100cc semi-open chamber heads and feature a 1-1/2° rolled over (angle milled) design that improves intake port alignment and provides a smaller combustion chamber without shrouding the valves. They have a 9.2:1 compression with flat-top pistons, making them an outstanding high performance street head. They also have an 8.8:1 compression ratio when used on 1987-up TBI-equipped 7.4L dished piston motors. These heads produced over 450 ft/lbs. torque when combined with Edelbrock's Multi-Point EFI System!
