Rated 5 out of 5 by from I glad I decided to switch. I just completed the install. It was a cold day, and my big block chevy stated instantly. It's still learning but so far, I'm very satisfied with the Mean Street. I already can feel an increase in mid RPM torque. I sure a few adjustments are coming later, but for now bye bye carburetor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best carb replacment bought to replace my eddy 1406 carb and wow so easy to install and it started the first time,it had a few hiccups but the ecm learns really fast smoothed out after about 3 minutes and the more I drive it the better it gets. cold starts are quick and so are warm starts, the throttle response is fast,it dose take a min for the rpm's to drop but messing with return springs have fixed a lot of that problem. im really happy with this purchase and would definitely buy again, this thing rocks im using it on an amc 401. do yourself a favor and ditch your carb buy a fitch!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FITECH EFI Meanstreet system I finished my install a few days ago and must say my 1968 Camaro drives incredible! Its a big block putting out around 550 HP with a 5 speed and has never run this well. Great throttle response, smooth idle and the best part is no more hesitation or stumble that I had before with my carb. The only problem that I had was low voltage at the battery causing the car to not idle properly. Fixed my wiring problem then the system ran perfectly. Would definitely recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 800 hp meanstreet I've bought two of these units. They are not durable. Have had nothing but problems. Keep having to send them back for ecu replacements. They only last about a year before something goes out in the ecu. Plus the fitech customer service sucks. BUY A CARBURETOR

Can I still run a mechanical fuel pump with this or do I need their pump system? Trying to inject my motor but keep it as basic and old school as possible

    Asked by: Mainemudbogger
You will need to use an EFI pump with this system, you will want to bypass your mechanical pump.

No, you would need the FiTech systems labeled as "Power adder" to use any boost or nitrous.

Will the 30008 work on a low vacuum 461 BBC engine with 4-5 inches at idle or is there a more compatible model?

    Asked by: TheOnlyDon
The self tuning features do not perform well when you have less than 6" of vacuum. FiTech has some systems running in the 4-5" range, but they may require some special tuning and FiTech can help with that.
