    Will this trans work with the stock console mounted shifter in a 73 camaro with turbo 400 and will I have to alter drive shaft length?

    Yes, but you will need a shifter upgrade like this - https://www.jegs.com/p/Shiftworks/Shiftworks-Automatic-Shifter-Conversion-Kits-and-Accessories-for-Chevy-Camaro/4565244/10002/-1 this is a 4 speed transmission and you may have to alter the driveshaft length slightly.
