i have sbc 350c.i. .040 over 4", does head gasket bore size change anything, like does a 4.080 gasket make a difference compared to, 4.125 bore gasket or even larger bore gasket on the same 4.040 block?

    Asked by: RICK
Yes, the larger the bore size of the gasket the less compression will be attained. You want to be as close to the bore size as possible to maximize compression.
