    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not efficient, but looks good... My Suburban had been barely passing smog as the old Magnaflow cat got older. It finally failed smog and I then got this cat. It looked great and the guy that does my exhaust work was surprised Flowmaster makes catalytic converters. Did I pass smog? Barely! This was only a small improvement on hydrocarbons (HC). It went from failing at idle to barely passing at idle AND okay 2500 RPM to barely passing at 2500 (2 speed idle test, no load). My buddy that does my smog tests said that hopefully it simply hasn't broken in but I drove about 12 miles with it. 1 miles street traffic, 3 miles in heavy traffic at East Coast "high" speeds and 4 in good old SoCal stop and go freeway speeds and I parked. The next day just before smog it was 3 miles of true high speed down the highway (70+) and about 2 street. If that didn't break in the cat and get it hot, I don't know what will. So I'm giving one star because that's the minimum, half star because it looks good externally and has excellent welding and half star because at least I'm good for 2 more years. I have my doubts it will pass in two years but let's see what happens.
