The N351 is a cast-iron spec head built for oval-track series that require a production-style casting. Ford Racing reworked the ports and valve angle with help from Robert Yates to free up airflow while keeping the head legal for stock-car classes.
Ford Performance M-6049-N351 N351 Sportsman Cylinder Head
- Designed for 351W engines in NASCAR Late Model Stock, IMCA, WISSOTA and similar classes.
- 64cc combustion chamber with a 200cc intake port and 82cc exhaust port.
- Machined for 2.02 in. intake and 1.60 in. exhaust valves, moved 0.070 in. to un-shroud the intake.
- Bare cast iron with a thick deck; uses 0.708 in. taper-seat plugs and 5/16 in. pushrods.
