    Ford 8.8 Differential

    Ford Racing 8.8" Differentials give you a strong reliable replacement for your factory unit. Choose from either Traction-Lok, Torsen Type or Torsen T-2 for to best fit your application and driving type. Traction-Lok This clutch type can really plant the power to the ground through both wheels and usually is rebuild able. It is perfect for applications that are going to be used for straight line street or street/strip use. While designed to allow smooth cornering without any ratcheting our coupling issues it is not the most consistent controlling torque for through the corner acceleration. Traction-Lok differentials typically require a friction modifier for proper performance and longevity. Torsen Type Are a helical or worm gear style differential that is said to be torque sensing. They will offer control for straight line acceleration and for off corner acceleration but they are not designed to handle torque loads of drag race style starts as well as a Traction-Loc style differentials. Torsen T-2 Type Are a more complex helical or worm gear style differential than the Torsen and are designed more towards road racing applications that may see some street use. These differentials are not intended for drag race use at all. The T-2 differentials are designed to apply torque smoothly while cornering to allow for consistent reliable off corner acceleration. They are not intended for drag race use. Features:
