GM Performance 12499106 - GM Performance Parts 383 Short Block

For those who want to build their own custom stroker small-block engine, this partial engine comes with the specially modified block, 3.80 4340 forged steel stroker crankshaft, heavy-duty connecting rods, hyper-eutectic pistons, bearings, oil pan, oil pump, front cover, balancer, and 12.75 flexplate. This partial engine does not include a camshaft, lifters, timing chain, or cam sprocket. The oil pan is assembled loosely on the block so it can be disassembled without destroying the pan gasket.

This is the same shortblock that GM uses for the 383/340 hp and the 383/425 hp Crate engines.

Block: Cast Iron, 4 bolt main, with 1 piece rear main seal

Crankshaft: Forged 4340 Steel, Externally Balanced

Pistons: Hypereutectic, dished top, with offset pins
