Wander Bars
GM used a front frame brace, some called the wander bar in the early 1980s, which is sandwiched between the frame and the sway bar. This is a name GM put on the lower steering brace that ties the front frame horns together on 1982-1992 Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird (not standard on all models). The bar reduces flex and the twisting action generated from the steering box. It is more noticeable when large front tires are used. The wander bar is sandwiched between the frame and the sway bar.
