The K-member geometry on the 96-04 cars is integral to cornering, braking and steering feel. The stout GMS K-Member design is a fully triangulated and designed to be stiff and strong for continuous street road use, offer a light weight alternative for the drag racer in mind but still be durable enough for the weekend road racer.
GMS K-Member offers the end user two independent mounting locations for the A-arms. This allows the roll center height to be perfectly set based on how low you lower your car. It also helps with camber issues often found with Mustang that are lowered more then 1.5''
The GMS A-arms are not moved per say. The mounting tabs on the K-member are intended to push the A-arms out approximately 1/8 of an inch.
Additionally the mounting tabs on the K-member push the A-arms forward ''lengthen the wheelbase'' by .75'' (3/4'') which in turn improves the front to rear weight distribution These changes make for improved ''driver feeling'' in corners and a more stable ride for the drag racer in mind at higher speeds.
The GMS units also include a stiffening brace for the most series at art. You can never make this mounted suspension piece too strong or over built.
