They're available in our all-new Hard Core Gray™ hard coat anodized finish with Black™ billet for improved corrosion protection. overall, good carb for experienced carb tuners
This was suppose to be ready to go out of the box, but it wasn't.. Idle mixture screws were turned WAY too far in (~3/4 turn out), and the rear needle and seat would not close which flooded the carb within 5-10 seconds after starting. Since I know Holley carbs, this was not an issue for me, but for someone with little experience this would have been a big problem. I removed the needle and seat, cleaned it, reinstalled and turned the mixture screws out 1.5 turns as a baseline and adjusted from there.
Also, the primary discharge nozzle won't work if the car is not used for more than 4-5 days. Again, having used e85 carbs before, I knew what to do (remove the nozzle, spray WD-40 in the hole, reinstall nozzle)...but for less knowledgeable folks they would probably be asking for their money back. Jetting however was almost perfect right out of the box.
Overall, after some tweaking it works great (small block Mopar street/drag car, runs 6.5's in the 1/8). The ability to get more air at idle without having to drill throttle blades is an AWESOME feature.
