    Notes:
  • This dual exhaust system was designed to be used with Hooker Competition Headers - 520-2453. If the dual exhaust is being installed with any other headers modifications will be required. Hooker will not assume responsibility for fit or performance.
  • All systems come without mufflers. Hooker recommends using the following mufflers with a 2.25" offset inlet/center outlet configuration:

    Hooker Headers Competition Dual Exhaust Kits are designed to fit specific applications using Hooker Competition Headers or stock exhaust manifolds. They have 2.25" diameter 16-gauge aluminized steel tubing that's mandrel bent to maintain a consistent inside diameter for maximum flow (press bending crushes the pipe, which can reduce volume by more than 10%).

  • The original equipment tailpipe exit location is retained on most systems unless otherwise noted below in More Info
  • For racing use only (not legal for use on vehicles originally equipped with catalytic converters)
  • Except the universal kit, systems do not include mufflers. Hooker recommends using Aero Chamber, Maximum Flow, or Competition Turbo mufflers with a 2.25" offset inlet/center outlet configuration.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expected better from Hooker Over all quality is very good but when the kit arrived it said 1973-75 will need " "modification" of the drivers side section through the cross member. Actually it fit nicely but the passage side, to clear the transfer case and floorboard was a challenge. It has four bends that all have to be modified, no small task unless you happen to own exhaust pipe bending equipment and have the experience to make those four bends correctly. Heating and bending was not enough. The notice should say " cutting your brand new exhaust and welding it back together in four places". If Hooker knows this , why not make this one single piece that would greatly improve the kit and make it a solid A+ ? But with that said, the rest of the kit was a breeze and the quality was very good. ( Steer clear of the "recommended" hooker mufflers). I had them on about five minutes before I was ordering Flowmasters.Keep in mind the muffler needs to be centered on one end ( inlet for mine) and offset on the other end. If yours is 1976 or later this is a perfect kit !!! If yours is 1973-75, don't install in the presence of young children , there will be profanity !!!
