Rated 5 out of 5 by from great looking converter I'm a year out from having this project completed so I haven't been able to test drive the old truck. The machine work on the converter was super. stud bolts fit perfect in the flywheel. I'm sure it will work great in the 1956 F100 with a FE 427.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent converter Bought this to work with a TCI streetfighter C-6 in my cruiser 390 big block galaxie. Works flawlessly. Very nice converter. No complaints, excellent price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does its job I bought this a few months back for my 1974 F100 with a 390 and a C6 transmission. In 1974 the Ford FE 390 was supposed to have a crankshaft with a torque converter pilot bearing size of 1.375 inches. I bought one from a parts store, and it wouldn't fit. So I did a ton of research and decided that Ford, in their infinite wisdom, grabbed whatever they had sitting on the assembly line to build that truck. So my 390 had an earlier model crank shaft that has the 1.848 inch pilot hole. After purchasing this torque converter, I went to a parts store and had them look up a torque converter for a '72 model F100 with a 390 and the correct torque converter was pulled up, but for $70 instead of the $200 I shelled out for this one. So knowing that now, I wouldn't buy this torque converter again, but not because of poor quality. It does perfectly well for my all stock application, and the truck does burnouts like nothing else. I recommend it, but it is definitely pricier than a stock torque converter that would have been just as good in my application.
