Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great carb. Tuned right out of the box. Just turned the main idle up a pinch. Worth the extra price over the 500 cfm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ALMOST exactly like the Autolite 2100 it replaced. I just installed this on a '69 F250 w / 360 and a C6 a couple of days ago. Still dialing it in a bit, but it makes a night and day difference on the old truck. Starts right up, idles nice, and no hesitation on acceleration. Installation was about as straight forward as you can expect. However, as you would also expect, installing a "Universl" replacement" anything on a 50 year old truck, there is always something that needs modification or attention. For mine, it was the throttle linkage. The old Fords used a 1/8" bent rod that went through the throttle attaching point. Held on with a "through" clip, that rotates and locks the linkage. When I hooked it up to the new carb, opened the throttle blades, the clip kept popping off. Turned out that the Autolite 2100 attaching point is flat, with a tight radius that clears the clip. The Holley is wider, square (er), and has a protrusion that looks like a spring attachment. Also, the hole is much larger, so even if the clip didn't pop off, there would be a lot of slop with the original linkage. So, if you have the "Bent Rod" kind of linkage, then you absolutely need to get one of the spherical end type linkages with it when you buy it. Once that is done, you're good to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Installed on 1967 Jeep V6 Because this installation was on a fairly old vehicle, I ran into a couple of small problems with installation. Once solved, and the installation complete, the jeep started up and ran just fine. Better than the original Rochester.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great tubulator carbulator! Zowie, two holes, Manuel's chokey guy thingy, center pivot float, and an attractive zinc dichromate finish that goes with all decors! This is a great replacement carb. Have used them for years on a variety of motors and they always work. Excellent for certain circle track racing apps, too.....Zoom!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Different But Same For Starters, this is not an identical carburetor compared to the last one I bought even though the numbers are the same. The lever that goes through the carb from the choke to the throttle is just different enough that it will not work without modification. The lever action actually pivots below the bottom of the carb on the choke side so I had to take and file down the plate that it mounts to just enough to let it pivot. I installed it three times before finally figuring this out. The vacuum advance was also different enough that I had to get another hose but that was no real obstacle. I wonder if they didn't expect you to use one of those really thick gaskets with the new "improvements?" The spring return hole for the throttle was so small, you couldn't fit a spring in it. At this point, I flattened it out with a ball peen hammer, wrapped it in a rag and set it up on the drill press to "open" the hole up to about 1/4". Have no idea why that hole was shrunk down. It took me over three hours to get this thing set up on that chevy small block. First one took less than 20 minutes. The last carburetor lasted for around 6 years and 100000 miles so this was worth all the hassle. My fuel economy improved so much that it has already paid for itself but I run about 40 gallons a day through this engine.

    Will this fit on a 74 cj5 with a 304 AMC?

    Asked by: Kevin
The Holley 510-0-7448 carb is not vehicle specific, an adapter plate could be necessary.
