Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for smaller motors I've been using this for at least a year now on my Nissan Frontier 4.0L. It is perfect. Small enough to be easy to place in a cramped engine bay. I end up emptying it every few weeks or so (it's a high mileage motor). If I were running a v8 I might source something bigger, but this is perfect for a v6 and below.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Non standard car oil separator. I needed an oil separator for my '05 Focus. No one sells one! This worked out just right with some simple hose adapters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 350 in the Willys Wagon Replaced the very tired 283 with a fresh 79 350. Intake was heavily varnished in side with blowby residue. Decide to try oil separator, varnish is almost gone first 800 miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect turbo-side oil separator Many years ago, after purchasing a turbo-charged engine, I bought this to prevent oil from being sucked into my intake during boost. I have a larger catch-can on my intake-side. The original has been in my engine bay for nearly nine years and pretty close to my turbo. While cleaning the original one I managed to break a piece of internal plastic. After all those miles and time in my engine bay perhaps the plastic got a little brittle or I was not careful enough. Either way, this was a replacement. It arrived quickly as is my usual experience with JEGS. This oil separator is likely contributing to a turbo-charged engine running like a jewel with over 130k miles on it. I don't baby the engine. This unit is easy to service and monitor and perfect for this application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for !! I purchased this for my 2004 Infiniti G35 vq35de. After taking my intake plenum off to do some other upgrades it became easy for me to understand the need for a catch can setup. I chose to take out the white filter that it comes with after reading many reviews elsewhere (but look into that on your own and make a choice). I pulled all the stickers off of the unit to clean up the look of it and hit the polished part with some Mother’s aluminum polish to make it look even better. Happy with it and seems to be working. Only drive the car on weekends and it seems to be working as I hardly have some oil caught in the can (not pictured). Love the setup and it looks kinda cool to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works + easy to install Installed 2 of these on the Honda prelude, easy to install, and it works really well, catches the oil for me, so it doesn't go into my throttle body and air intake

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I bought this to help with the "burning oil" smell coming from the engine bay. Engine seems to run smoother without the excess oil coming back into the intake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I've been using this oil separator on my 12 Mustang GT for the past 4 years and it has worked fantastically my intake is free from any observable oil about half the price of the jlt and more expensive versions. I did replace the 1/4 by 3/8 in barbs that came with it and used fittings that mimic the factory size 5/8 in id PCV hose that comes with the car

Does the filter material become saturated with oil or does it drip out into the bowl after sitting overnight? I need to be able to measure the exact amount of oil it catches every time I use it. (I'm not going to use it on a car)

    Asked by: 350MJ
The filter material will become saturated with oil but no accurate way to measure.
