Is this 100% carbon fiber or combined with fiberglass? Is it stiff enough to use as a cover for a sunroof opening (sunroof removed)?

    Asked by: Mike999999
This is combined carbon fiber and is very flexible, we would not recommend this for use as a sunroof cover.

Is the resin thermoplastic or thermoset? What is the acceptable temperature range?

    Asked by: dandigscars
The resin system used in the carbon sheets is a thermoset resin. Tg (Glass transition temperature) is the point at which the resin softens when heated. The TDS states a Tg of 194 F. when post cured at 185 F. for 2 hours. Our sheets are room temperature cured only. This will give us a Tg of approximately 120 F because of the exothermic reaction. The sheets will also “work harden” as they become hot up to the ultimate Tg of 194 F
