Great design
This starter is well worth the money . The staggered bolt pattern is the way to go. The location of wire connection is right there easy hook up while it’s bolted up. Turns over my 468 bbc like nothing. It sounds strong unlike stock starters that make you cringe when you crank them. Thanks Jegs

Great Improvement.
Easy to install plenty of header clearance. Light weight. This starter spins my 454 over with ease. Starts the engine quickly. Last starter was slow to start engine. Great improvement. Love the sound of it.

START ME UP !!
I have a +.060 Chevy 427 with 11.5:1 compression. This Jegs starter (10002) turns it over like it was a 4 cylinder...this is replacing a 35 year old starter in my 1956 210. This starter fit well and is alot smaller and lighter than the old one. Jegs is my go to place for race parts !! Hope to see you in Sonoma, California in a few weeks for the Drag Race at Sears Point Raceway...

Lightweight, easy to install.
So far the starter has served me well. My car starts right up no problem. The install was easier because it was lighter and easier to fit in. It actually starts my car a lot quicker and quieter. Be sure you shim it right though.

Can I use all 3 bolt holes for a 5.7 vortec? Cracked starter bolt hole I’d like to get away with using all 3 holes

I have a 350 Chevy and I put a brand new flex plate on it that matched perfectly with the last one. It has 168 teeth on it but my starter is for a 153 tooth flex plate. Will the pro starter mesh properly with a 168 tooth flex plate?

Hello, My car has a third wire going to the solenoid that I believe provides power to the ignition coil during cranking. I do not see a prevision for that on my new ProStarter. How do I correct this? Thanks!
The Jegs starter 555-10002 will require number 555 10038 for vehicles using the 3rd wire.

I installed this starter but the gear only protrudes halfway on the flywheel,is this normal? I have the round spacer off that goes between the housing and starter.
No, you will want full engagement of the gear on the flywheel or flexplate. make the sure the flywheel of flexplate is installed correctly.
